I have been banking at the same bank for several years and have become acquainted with the tellers. They are all very friendly; Linda and I seemed to have a connection due to many similarities in our lives. One day in particular, Linda noticed that I was a bit off from my usual self. I had a minor surgery a week before and ended up with a nasty MRSA infection. I had been on antibiotics for a couple days and my fever was gone so in my usual fashion, I set out to get my long-neglected errands done, which included a trip to the bank. Immediately upon seeing me Linda said, “You don’t look so good.” I responded, “I don’t feel so good.”
I explained to Linda what I had been through that past week, including surgery, almost passing out at my daughter’s graduation and a trip to the ER. Linda advised me to go home and rest, which was great advice that I heeded. Just as I made it home and stepped out of my car, I passed out in my driveway and was rescued by a neighbor. The outcome could have been much worse had I been driving when this occurred.
A few days later, I received a get-well card from Linda! I will always remember her kindness. Linda really went above and beyond and has been very inspirational in my life. We all need more Lindas.
