OK, so I have kept my resolution to some degree. I have kept track of my good deeds…just fell a bit behind in posting them. I do have a full time job by the way. I started this to help make others focus more on kindness so that all of our days can be brighter. My influence hasn’t spread as far as I would have hoped in 2 years but I do believe the 100 or so influenced so far have truly been honored and I often hear the words “You made my day.” So here are the next 16 days of January: (please notice the common thread)
1/8 On a whim bought my daughters boyfriend a ticket to a major football game for his birthday.
1/9 Checked in with a friend to see how her job hunt was going.
1/10 Checked in with my friend who got married to see how they were doing
1/11 Reached out to a friend to see how she is doing with work and her family
1/12 Took my mom to surgery, stayed with her and brought her back home until my sister came to take over. Reached out to 3 friends and specifically told the one that he always gives more than he receives. A rare find but much appreciated!
1/13 Sent a job to another friend who just confided in me that he is looking for a new job. Texted a funny text to another friend who has had a lot to deal with lately in hopes that would brighten his day…IT DID!:)
1/14 Checked on a friend to see how her dad is doing. Unfortunately had to go into hospice care.
1/15 Went to my mothers to spend some time. Reminded her it was her great granddaughters birthday. We both wished a happy 4th birthday to her!
1/16 Listened to a friend having relationship issues. Called another friend to let him vent about an issue.
1/17 Spent a few minutes in solitude praying for my niece who was going to have major surgery today.
1/18 Checked on a friend. Made dinner for my family who all came over:)
1/19 Took a friend out who was in a funk and believe i got her out of the funk as she was laughing and smiling by the end of the night:)
1/20 checked on a friend job hunting. Congratulated another friend for getting a job she has been wanting.
1/21 Wished my nephew a happy birthday. Bought a special anti inflammatory juice for my daughter who is having a major flare of her arthritis. Took time to have lunch with a friend who was in town.
1/22 Checked on my brother who’s daughter had surgery on 1/17.
1/23 Spoke with a woman who’s mother had a stroke and was not doing well and advised her on some options. Making a basket of goodies for a friends little girl who I am seeing on Friday.
